Electronic Tax Register (ETR) is a cash register used to record sales and provide ETR receipts to customers. ETR machine ensures small traders are included in the tax bracket for higher revenue collection.
In the year 2005, the government of Kenya through the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) initiated the use of fiscal devices to streamline TAX collections. All traders are therefore required to issue fiscal receipts at the point of sale or payment.
